Just a quick "Thank you" for putting this all together. I love coming home to LA. I miss the 'hood, I miss the community, all the laughter, and all the pretty smiles and faces. Now I don't know where some of y'all came from; but at John Burroughs we had this class called "GROUP THERAPY". It is of my professional opinion after many sessions with "jive turkeys", "platform wearin", "tailor mades" - no - not the one from "i love new york", bugga eatin, glue sniffin, dice rollin, class ditchin - WAIT maybe that was the folk from DETENTION...... Anyway as I was sayin, or well here's my bottom line.... It will be sooooo good to see everybody, back home at ROME, to help me with my psychological processes of having a good time. In light of this MJ tragedy (I'm still saddened and shocked - are you) I need all of you to come and have a good time. Tell all yo friends, hell bring yo momma and yo daddy too. YOU JUST GOT TO BE THERE.............. The committee has done a great job to make this event just for you. I think I'll go just plum crazy if you don't show up to help me through........ | Hello Romans, I am so proud to be a Roman! Jayn my Cuzz, lots of love. This is wonderful. I am looking forward to this reunion, I have missed so much. Thank you Jayn for keeping me informed these past four years. My god-daughter played on the girls JV Basketball team a few years ago and I was able to attend a game. It was such a great feeling to be on campus and in the gym again. I hope my BEE BALL team members will be there, Mike Flowers, Keith Harrison, Greg Bailes, Mike Hughes(Mr. Smooth), Steve Fairly, Nathan Song, Tye Brooks and the man in the Middle Darryl Scott and Coach Shimi. Thanks for the view of the OLD L.A. High! I can vividly remember going up there after the fire (and the earthquake) and crying as we took a brick to remember the school by. That was before I had even graduated from junior high. I knew then that I would go to L.A. even though almost all of my classmates went on to go to Fairfax H..S. I HAD TO BE A ROMAN! There was just so much history there. Of course, by time I went there, we were in bungalows, but I still loved it! |

I'm out in Cincinnati OH ... so I may not be able to be there in person. However, I am there in spirit. My thoughts are with a classmate who passed many moons ago -- Willie Hixon. I don't have many memories of my high school daze ... but, I do remember George and Angela Spell ... and I'm glad to see Angela will be there. I remember playing cards and betting in various football pools and writing for the school paper along with a sister who was related to Marvin Gaye (sheesh my memory is bad).
